“I empower people to tune into wisdom to transform their mind, body and soul.”
Owner, Therapist, Coach
Sonya Warren, MS, LCMHC
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor serving women in North Carolina and Louisiana through virtual therapy services designed to support emotional healing, self-awareness, and lasting personal growth.
I specialize in supporting high-functioning women who are emotionally exhausted from carrying the weight of everyone else’s needs while neglecting their own. Many of my clients appear strong, capable, and successful on the outside, yet internally struggle with anxiety, burnout, emotional overwhelm, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and difficulty slowing down without guilt.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and emotionally grounded. I help clients identify unhealthy emotional patterns, strengthen boundaries, reconnect with their needs, and process the experiences that have kept them stuck in survival mode.
I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, somatic awareness, and emotionally supportive strategies to help clients create healthier relationships with themselves and others while building a more balanced and emotionally sustainable life.
Therapy with me is not about “fixing” who you are. It’s about helping you slow down long enough to reconnect with yourself, process emotional exhaustion, and create a healthier, more balanced life from a grounded place instead of survival mode.
Whether you’re navigating:
burnout
emotional overload
relationship stress
overfunctioning
people-pleasing
perfectionism
or the pressure of always being “the strong one,”
therapy can help you move from survival mode into emotional healing and restoration.
For individuals seeking coaching, accountability, and personal growth support outside of therapy, please explore The Balanced Journey Institute, where coaching services are offered separately from clinical therapy.
A Modern Approach
We service each client from an integrative approach. We utilize a combination of cognitive, humanistic and somatic approaches to assist clients in addressing emotional, psychological, spiritual and generational concerns. Our goal is to help individuals create an active process and make choices that lead to wholistic health.
“When “I” is replaced with “we”
Even “illness” becomes “Wellness.”
