I’m Sonya Warren, a therapist, transformational coach, and founder of The Balanced Journey Institute. My mission is to help high-functioning women stop losing themselves in the process of caring for everyone else and begin creating lives rooted in balance, clarity, and emotional wellness.
After years of supporting women in therapy, I realized many women didn’t just need healing — they needed support learning how to live differently. Many were emotionally exhausted from over-functioning, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and constantly carrying the emotional weight of others while neglecting themselves.
The Balanced Journey Institute™was created to help women move beyond survival mode through coaching, accountability, emotional awareness, and practical life transformation. Through a structured journey rooted in the ACT Model and Balanced Framework, we help women reconnect with themselves, strengthen boundaries, prioritize their needs without guilt, and create sustainable balance in everyday life.

Coaching and therapy are different. Coaching focuses on achieving personal goals and growth, while therapy addresses mental health concerns. As a coach, I help you work toward your goals, but if you need therapy, I would refer you to a licensed therapist. Coaching is not a substitute for therapy.
